Configuring Saddle Creek fulfillment with your UltraCart Account

Navigate to the Shipping Distribution centers tab in the Shipping configuration:

Main Menu → Configuration → (middle menu) Checkout → Shipping → (middle menu) Distribution Centers → Click either ‘New Distribution Center’ or ‘Edit’ button

Distribution Center Tab

The first tab - the “Distribution Center” tab - is where you’ll configure the origination address that is used in the shipping estimate calculations.

Saddle Creek has many warehouses situated through the United States: https://www.sclogistics.com/locations/

Delivery Blackouts tab

In coordination with Saddle Creek, configure “delivery blackout” dates.
*Any configured dates will prevent customers selecting those dates during the checkout.

Configuring Location Preferences tab

By default each distribution center can ship to anywhere around the globe. UltraCart will select the distribution center that is the shortest distance away from the customer as long as there is available inventory there. There may be circumstances where you have a distribution center that can only serve a particular set of places. For instance you may have a Canadian distribution center that is only meant to handle Canadian orders. Using preferences you can enforce these types of restrictions.

If you have a single distribution center configuration, then this tab will not apply

Order Status Codes tab

This tab will not apply. This tab applies only to distribution centers configured with the “None” option in the Transmission Mechanism tab.

Shipment Blackouts tab

In coordination with Saddle Creek, configure any applicable shipment blackouts.

Shipment Cutoff Times tab

Time each day that orders must be received by in order to ship. This information will be used to calculate the shipment day. Some shippers will provide a number of days in transit which will be used to tell the customer the estimated date of delivery. Enter all times in 24 hour format EST/EDT time zone.

If you only ship on certain days of the week, fill out cut-off times for those days and leave all the other days blank.

Shipment Processing Time tab

If any order takes time to prepare for shipment then you can configure additional processing days. This will increase the date that the order actually ships. If you leave the processing days blank then UltraCart will assume that you are shipping same day as long as the cut-off time has been met.

Saddle Creek Transmission Mechanism tab

Click the Transmission Mechanism Tab then scroll down and select “Saddle Creek Logistics Services” then configure the displayed configuration fields:

Analytics (tab)

Populating these fees helps the UltraCart Analytics Platform https://ultracart.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ucdoc/pages/285736961 to calculate the expenses of your shipments if that data is not provided by your fulfillment house.

  • Fulfillment First Pick Fee

  • Fulfillment Next Pick Fee

  • Average Shipment Expense
