Internet Explorer

Overview

Microsoft's Internet Explorer has issues with PDF files that are generated dynamically over a secure connection. UltraCart's recommendation is that you use Mozilla as the browser to access UltraCart's administration because it is 100% standards compliant. Althought that is our recommendation, we provide a registry patch that you can apply that will allow Internet Explorer to properly hand off the PDF file to Adobe Acrobat.

Although this registry file is provided for your convenience, you are solely responsible for any results that occur from loading this registry file into your Windows and agree to assume all liability associated with loading this file.

Click the browse button and locate the Acrobat executable. Depending upon the version of Acrobat it could be located at one of the following locations:

  • C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 5.0\Acrobat\acrord32.exe

When you click continue, your browser will tell UltraCart the path to your Acrobat executable. It will not actually upload the executable file to UltraCart. Your browser will instruct you to either open or save a file named ultracart-pdf.reg. Click on open to import the registry entries. Internet Explorer will launch PDF properly after the registry entries have been installed.
