Blocking Fraudulent Orders from an Affiliate

Situation

We have determined that one of our affiliates is placing bogus orders with stolen credit cards. We are out the merchandise and the shipping. We have disabled the affiliate, but is there a way via ultracart to DISALLOW any orders that continue to come through the system with his affiliate link? Meaning that the sale will NOT be allowed at all. Thank you.

Solution

UltraCart's Fraud Prevention can automatically take orders associated with the affiliate and place them into Accounts Receivable for fraud review.  This will prevent you from shipping product or charging a stolen card.  To configure the filter go to:

Once the Fraud Prevention section is open you will need to scroll down to the Affiliate Rules section. You can then create a filter by selecting the affiliate's email from the drop down list and clicking on Apply.  A note will appear on the order inside of Accounts Receivable to let you know why this order is under review.
