Understanding StoreFront Communications Pricing

Dashboard

When you visit your StoreFront → Communications tab you will see a dashboard that looks similar to the following screenshot:

The dashboard will show the email and customer quota usage. Each UltraCart pricing plan comes with a base level of free customers:

  • Small - 250

  • Medium - 500

  • Large - 2,500

  • Enterprise - 25,000

The email quota on the system is 10X the customer count. So if you are a 2,500 customer plan then you can send 10 times that in email 25,000 per month.

Plan Size & Histogram

If you click on the More Details toggle under the Customers section:

A histogram will display showing the customers that were last active within each month and how far back your plan currently reaches. In this example the 2,500 active customers is not even covering a single month of active customers.

If you’re only going to do short lived marketing based upon flows then this small of a plan is sufficient, but if you’re going to create more complicated flows & campaigns based upon segments, then a large plan that reaches back in time 6-12 months is advised. Clicking on any of the bars in the histogram will calculate how large of a plan is needed to reach to that time period.

Once you know how large of a plan you need to accomplish your marketing goals, click Modify plan and choose the larger plan size.

Inactive Customers

When a customer becomes in-active due to lack of activity within your plan size, their data is retained, but they are flagged as inactive within the Communications database and excluded from all segmentation and list calculation. If the customer re-engages in your size by opening an email, clicking an email, visiting your site or placing a new order they will become active again in the most recent time period.
