FedEx API Errors

See FEDEX API Integration section of the "Shipper Specific Options" tab of the Shipping Configuration page.

FedEx error 1000 Authentication Failed when printing labels

If you are trying to print a label with the new FedEx Webservices and get this error then there are 2 things that could be wrong.

1. Your credentials are incorrect. If you copy pasted them from an email or similar, make sure there is no additonal spaces before or after.

2. You will need to become certified for an advanced Web Services account. For this you will need to contact your FedEx account rep and they will give you the instructions on what you need to do to complete the process.

In regards to the error directly from FedEx.

You are receiving this error due to the fact that these credentials are not enabled for Advanced Web Services. Rate and Track Requests are considered Standard Web Services, and do not need to be certified. However, in order to create labels using the ProcessShipmentRequest and CreatePendingShipmentRequest, or utilize the Pickup and Address Validation Services. In order to register your credentials for Advanced Web Services, we will need you to fill out the following information to be sent to the certification team for review:

Account Number
Meter Number
Authentication Key (the full value)

E-mail Address
Company Name
Contact Name (FIRST and LAST NAME)
Phone Number (Including area code)

Are you using FSM API, FSM Direct or Web Services?
If using FSM API or FSM Direct, are you using XML or tagged (CTS) transactions?

Will your application be generating shipping labels? (Yes or No)

If using Web Services for shipping, will you be shipping with Express, Ground, or both?

Will you register as a ''Corporate Developer'' or a ''Consultant''?


If registering as a Consultant, please fill out the following:

Consultant Company Name
Consultant Contact Name
Consultant Contact Phone Number
Consultant Contact E-mail

Are you using a third party application or was the application built in house? If using a 3rd party application what is the name of it?

Are you requesting Address Validation? (Yes or No)

Are you requesting Courier Dispatch or Cancelling Courier Dispatch? (Yes or No)
